Technically it has been built from a scratch, using as totally original ideas, as some ideas from other 3D-engines. This article is about those singleplayer Half-Life mods which use non-standard game code. But sometimes you will have a chance to play them properly on another OS if there is a ported version of the mod. Here is the guide about all Xash3D-compatible singleplayer mods, which use a custom game code. But there are a lot of Half-Life mods which use a custom game code of any kind, intended for different things, from changing a HUD's color to adding new weapons, NPCs, monsters, game mechanics, visual effects etc. But you should understand, that most of mods with a custom game code are only Windows -compatible.

It's because the new code of such mods should be also ported on specific OS to make a mod work properly. So, here is a guide about singleplayer Half-Life mods with non-standard game code, which were tested with Xash3D. All listed mods have a download link if possible. You can play them with Xash3Dusing common rules of mods' installing. Highly rated mods are marked with a bold font. Some mods have a compatibility tips, or an information about inner bugs of a mod which show themselves not only with Xash3Dbut with GoldSrc too.

This is a port of Xash3D to the Nintendo Switch. It is an open-source re-implementation of Valve's Goldsrc engine. To put it simply, this allows you to play Half-Life on your Nintendo Switch. This is due to the SGX driver? Texture coordinates are within 0. But you go with bigger or lower value. So using a texcoord of The texture on the wall, or mountain, or whatever, is a relatively small texture compare to the object that is repeated on the object.

Meaning that if the first triangle may have TexCoord in [0,1] interval, farther triangles will have much bigger or lower value, to keep continuity in the texture applied The fix in Xash3D is that, durring the computation of those texture coordinates, I force the use of the lowest value possible as no special care is taken on that side for the TexCoord per surface calculating the min value, and then subtracting that value to each texcoord.

That fixes the visual artifact and hopefully don't introduce any side effect. About the FPS, I'm not sure. I have "benched" only the introduction scene, with the train, and have not benched elsewhere. So I cannot say if there was a slow down I haven't noticed slow down, only slight speed up. FPS is usually between 20 and 60, depending on the amount of stuff onscreen. They are included in data. You can also invert any axis on either analog in the same menu by ticking the appropriate Invert checkbox. Pitch and yaw seem to be swapped for some reason, though. Saving takes a really long timesometimes up to two minutes, loading is also slow, but not as much. This is a known issue and I'm working on fixing it. When the game hangs at a random point or when you enter a new map, it's probably autosaving, so wait until it finishes.

Hosting a server on your Vita and joining it also should work, at least over LAN. Playing multiplayer and running other mods requires the full version of Half-Life. You can install Uplink as a mod alongside the full version by copying just the uplink folder from the Uplink archive linked above.

If you need to navigate number menus like this one in Counter-Strike, install the CS server library linked above. It includes a new touch button that pops up a numeric keypad when used. An other thing i was wondering is how to actually set up the touchscreen input, the menu is a bit confusing. Thanks again! Keep up the amazing work!! As it's already more than amazing, i am really looking forward what comes of the port and possible mod support.

I know that standard Half-Life autoaim kind of sucks and was made more to help with mouse aiming, I'll see if I can make it any better. There's no touchscreen input of any kind besides the on-screen keyboard that you can use to input console commands. The Touch settings in the menu don't actually do anything yet.
